Low maintenance flowers

I need some advice on flowers. Now that we no longer have any offers on the 'ol home, I plan on spending a wee bit of dough on flowers next time we're in T-town.

That said, can anyone offer advice on a pretty flower that is pretty low-maintenance? We're not there that often, so we need a flower that'll survive with less water.
