Can't get enough of Entourage

Johnny. Drama. Is. Hilarious.

I didn't feel comfortable posting some of these quotes on my blog, so thought I'd link instead.

If you watch the show, they're going to crack you up.

If not, perhaps they'll make you tune in. :)

It's official

I'm addicted to Entourage.

Nevermind that I have a number of other things I should be doing (i.e. 110 pages to read by Wednesday, a group project to work on, a 20-page paper to write, etc.)... What's going to happen with Vinnie and Mandy? Is E going to find love with Sloan? Will Drama and Turtle ever stop smoking weed and stop mooching off Vinnie?

We're only on season 2... But I seriously can't get enough.

P.S. I don't usually go for short guys, but how cute is E?!

Sandblasters

A and I were up until the wee hours of the night last night watching a show on the Travel Channel called "Sandblasters."

I've never seen such a thing, but was amazed by the creativity and execution. I simply couldn't look away.

I wonder how a person decides they are going to become a sand sculptor...

* My second favorite part of the show, aside from the actual sculptures, was that they blew up (at random) three masterpieces. Reminded me of "The Lottery." The artists just stood there, waiting for their work to blow up...

I caught up

Yay for Christian!

LOVED his collection.

Seriously SO talented.

My dog is human

Thanks to H's heads-up, A, myself and Cooper watched a good hour of the Westminster Dog Show on TV last night.

I swear, Cooper watches the television like a human. For whole segments. It's amazing. Will your dog/cat watch TV? Specific shows?

Oh, and seriously how fun is it to watch the men and women trainers prance along with their pups?

A blessing in disguise?

Is anyone else strangely enjoying this writer's strike? Just me?

I haven't thought about television nearly as much lately -
and I like that.

*I wish no ill will toward the writers. Just realizing and appreciating the change in my life.

I heart Bravo (almost as much as HGTV)

First things first. Did anyone happen to see Lauri's wedding on "Real Housewives of Orange County?" How beautiful was that?! Can you imagine actually spending that much money on a wedding? Everything was absolutely gorgeous. And, what about Jo coming back? I loved that everyone was like "I guess she's singing now?..."

Embarassingly enough, I can't wait for the N.Y. season.

Secondly, did anyone happen to catch that millionaire matchmaker show? If so, isn't the woman who runs the operation just some kind of glorified pimp? Between the sleezy millionaires and the golddigging pop tarts, I'm turned off by the whole idea. What did you think? Will you be watching?

The other Meg

I'm not sure exactly what season it was, but I absolutely cringe when I hear "the other Meg" on Family Guy. There's just no replacement for Mila Kunis' whiny, fingernails-on-the-chalkboard voice. Thank goodness the rest of the characters make up for it enough for me to still watch.

Last night's episode featured "death." I love him.

1.12.2008

Yet another reason to love him

People.com - “I would refuse [to give Britany Spears a makeover],” Tim Gunn told PEOPLE at the recent YMA Geoffrey Beene Fashion Scholarship Dinner at Marriot Marquis in New York. “There is no amount of money and I’ll tell you why: I can’t want you to succeed more than you do. And it’s obvious that she doesn’t want to succeed. I think of her right now as being in exile from the human race and she needs major, major help… There was a time that we were all marginally amused by it and then it just became a repugnant horror show. No, I wouldn’t even be remotely interested in [making her over].”

Haven't you had enough?

While we're on the subject of things I don't understand. Let's talk about Real World/Road Rules challenges and how the same people just keep coming back, year after year after year. Veronica?! Coral?! Don't you have better things to do with your lives?!

They must get paid a pretty penny. There's no way you could actually have a job and take that much time off all the time.

Tweener crush

My new tweener crush: Penn Badgley of "Gossip Girl"

(And yes. I'm slightly embarassed about the whole "Gossip Girl" thing....")

10.27.2007

Sophisticated criminals

I recently heard a friend say that there has been a string of robberies (perhaps around 100 or so) up north where she frequents her cottage.

The most interesting fact about this story? Apparently the burglars are only on the hunt for antiques. And, they're actually leaving a bit of cash behind to compensate for the antiques they're taking!

Have you ever heard of such a thing? "Antique Road Show" will never be the same to me.

10.25.2007

TV "Journalists"

My husband HATES Matt Lauer. Every morning I hear him comment on how unprofessional and ridiculous he thinks Matt Lauer is. Personally, he really doesn't annoy me all that much.

I understand not appreciating TV "journalists" though. Often times, it seems they're more concerned with creating excitement or drama than in actually relaying news stories.

Back in the day, I used to really like Katie Couric. Somewhere around 2002, though, my like turned into dislike. And don't even get me started on Ann Curry's dramatic "Good morning. Good morning" thing she does every day.

Do you have a favorite or least favorite newscaster?

10.22.2007

Bizarro World

I have a whole new appreciation for "The Bizarro Jerry" episode of Seinfeld.

Awesome.

9.24.2007

The. Best. Show. Ever.

So many questions...

1. What's up with Nathan's face?
2. Is Molly seeing Peter in her dreams? Peter's mom?
3. Who killed Hiro's dad?
4. Just how evil is Peter's mom?
5. What's up with the newbies?
6. What about Matt's baby?

I really had forgotten how great this show is.

Absolutely awesome.

9.23.2007

A new season

"Heroes" returns.

You must watch.
