Frankenmuth is one of my all-time favorite places to visit in the Mitten State.I had the opportunity to go this weekend with my sis, cousin and grandma.
It was just like I remembered.
So why visit?
- A town entirely devoted to German heritage
- The garb (Can you say lederhosen?!)
- Chicken, chicken, chicken
- Noodles
- Shops and boutiques
- Family
- Pastries
- Horse and carriages
- Great shopping (Birch Run is at the same exit)
The better question I suppose is... Why not visit?!

I'm going this weekend with my friend B., who lives in Merrill. I love that group of shops just south of town (between Frakenmuth and Bronner's). I think I'm going to be able to get all my Christmas shopping done this weekend!
I've only been there once and it was about 15 years ago. But I think I'd like to go back. If only for the food if nothing else.

we used to go when i was a kid w/ my grandparents and i just remember ALL THE FOOD that they brought you!
now i want to go!
