I passed an undergraduate student on my way to a meeting today and overheard her saying, "I just can't WAIT to be done with school."Now, I know that I probably said the EXACT same thing at the EXACT same point in my life so I have very little room to talk. However, everything in me wanted to stop her and say "Slow down. Enjoy it."
Thankfully, I quickly remembered all the people who used to tell me to "just enjoy it" and thought it best to keep my mouth shut.
Seriously, though, how amazing was college?

I wish I would have taken time to enjoy college just a bit more. I took some fun classes but I don't think I truly appreciated how great college was until I got out of there.
However, after that long in school, making no money, and living with large numbers of people...at the time I thought the "real world" where people had jobs and stuff was better!
Seriously! Oh how I wish I could go back and do it over again. I never appreciated how glorious it was to have all my friends in one place and have no real responsibilities. Lately I've been thinking about all the hours I spent sulking in the residence halls because I was "stressed out" - what an idiot I was! I should have been out drinking!
oh yeah, working on a college campus it is SO EASY to think about what "used to be" in college.
knowing what i know now, i would have done things differently and enjoyed college more and not been so hell-bent on getting out and getting a job.
